Celebrating 30 Years of Encore Band Camp & Introducing the 1st Annual Encore High!

Meet Our Staff

Encore Band Camp and Encore High are staffed by certified professional school teachers. Conductors and sectional coaches are selected from among the very best in the state. All of the camp staff members have been with Encore multiple years. The owners of the camp have worked at ENCORE for approximately a combined 40 years and Mr. Biffle’s father was one of the original founders of the camp.

Kreg Biffle is currently the band director at Locust Grove Middle school in Henry County. Mr. Biffle is a native of Clayton County where he graduated from Morrow High School. Mr. Biffle went on to receive his Bachelor’s degree in Music Education from the University of South Carolina in Columbia, SC. Mr. Biffle has been awarded several honors throughout his career including being named the Teacher of the Year for Locust Grove Middle School in 2013. His professional affiliations include the Georgia Music Educators Association, the Music Educators National Conference, and the National Band Association. Mr. Biffle has served as an adjudicator and guest conductor for numerous districts throughout Georgia. Mr. Biffle’s bands have consistently accumulated superior ratings at GMEA district band performance evaluations as well as at several other regional festivals. His students have also been consistently represented in district honor band and all-state events. Before becoming a co-owner of the ENCORE camp, Mr. Biffle served on the staff of the camp for 20 years in various capacities. Mr. Biffle currently resides in McDonough with his wife Christie and three children, Anslee. Connor, and Ella. They are active members of the Salem Baptist Church where Christie sings in the Celebration Choir and Kreg plays trombone in the praise band.

William Kilgore is currently the director of bands at West Jackson Middle School in Jackson County. Mr. Kilgore, a native of Milledgeville, GA received his Bachelor of Music Education and Master of Educational Leadership Degrees from the University of Georgia. Recently, Mr. Kilgore has earned his Specialist degree from Piedmont College. Mr. Kilgore has earned several awards and honors throughout his college and professional career including “Teacher of the Year” at North Hall Middle School and West Jackson Middle School. Mr. Kilgore has been featured as “One of the Fifty Music Educators who make a Difference” in the School Band and Orchestra Magazine. He was awarded a Citation of Excellence by the National Band Association. His professional affiliations include the Music Educators National Conference, the Georgia Music Educators Association, Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia, and Phi Beta Mu. Mr. Kilgore has appeared as a guest lecturer at University of Georgia and North Georgia College. Mr. Kilgore is an active guest conductor, clinician, and adjudicator throughout the Southeastern United States. Bands under his direction have accumulated an enviable record of superior ratings at GMEA sponsored festivals. Students under Mr. Kilgore’s direction have been awarded many high honors and have been selected to perform with some of the most elite state and national performing ensembles. Mr. Kilgore has served on the staff of Encore! Music Camps for more than ten years. Mr. Kilgore has served as Music Minister for nineteen years and is currently serving Briarwood Baptist Church. Mr. Kilgore enjoys singing with the Sons of Jubal. He and his wife Ora, reside in Statham, Georgia with their three active sons, Christian, Micah, and Bill.
